Year after year many gardeners lose the sight of an eye or damage their sight due to bending down into a bush and catching their eye on a bamboo stake. There are rubber ends on sale that cover the end of bamboo stakes, or you can use the end of a sports drink type of plastic bottle as in the photo's.
